BIOGRAPHY

Demesys is a composer, producer, and DJ from Paris. Raised on the French electronic wave of the last 30 years and shaped by autodidactic experimentation, he leaned into retro and nostalgic textures in his earlier works. After a formative musicology study at UC Berkeley in 2018, he developed an organic-synth sound that led to two albums, Pacific Groove (2019) and Cocktails & Dreams (2021), featuring Mo le J, Manatso, 48 Ocean and Louve.

That project's cinematic approach to composition has since evolved into Canopée — Demesys's current direction, combining forestial and ethereal sounds with a French house / Hardgroove / DnB base.

Demesys is also invested in film scoring, currently pursuing a master’s degree in music writing and on-screen composition at University Paris 8. He worked on the music, sound design, and mixing for L’ananké (2025), directed by Tom Hours, and for Hirondelles (2023), directed by Ophélie Sirop.

Alongside his own projects, Demesys co-founded NTFG in 2019, a non-profit organization aimed at supporting and showcasing young talents from the Paris area. He produced and engineered for Spectre (2021) by Mo le J, and Home (2020) by Manatso.

On the decks, Demesys plays a vinyl-heavy set of French house and groovy techno — built on continuity and feel. His production background at Rock en Seine, where he performed as a DJ, is a key reference point in his live experience.
